Skincare Consultation by Dr. Bimpe Ayeni
A skincare consultation at Aurora Plastic Surgery goes beyond product shopping—it’s a professional skin assessment led by a medically trained team under Dr. Bimpe Ayeni. We evaluate your skin’s condition, lifestyle, and current routine, then build a targeted plan that fits your goals, budget, and schedule. Serving patients across the Greater Toronto Area, we make it easier to stop guessing and start seeing real change in your skin.
Your visit typically includes a medical history review, visual and (when helpful) imaging-based skin analysis, discussion of what you’re using now, and clear recommendations for home care and in‑clinic treatments. Everything is customized—no pre-set kits, no one‑size‑fits‑all routines.
Why people book a skincare consultation:
A guided plan saves time, money, and frustration—while delivering better skin, faster.
From intake to long‑term maintenance, Aurora Plastic Surgery makes professional skincare clear, personalized, and easy to stick with. Here’s how your consultation unfolds:
We begin with a focused conversation about your concerns, lifestyle, and current products (bring what you use!). Your provider examines your skin—visually and, when helpful, with magnification or imaging—to assess hydration, sensitivity, sun damage, breakouts, and aging changes. Medical history and medications are reviewed so recommendations are safe and effective.
Next, we build your roadmap: step‑by‑step AM/PM routine, targeted actives (vitamin C, retinoids, pigment correctors, acne care, SPF), and how to introduce or rotate them without irritation. If in‑clinic treatments (HydraFacial, peels, laser, injectables) would accelerate results, we’ll prioritize them based on goals, timing, and budget. You leave with written instructions—no guesswork.
Skin changes with seasons, hormones, and life. We recommend a progress check at 8–12 weeks (virtual or in‑clinic) to review results, adjust products, and layer in advanced treatments as needed. Have a flare, event, or product question? Reach out anytime—your skincare team is here to keep you on track and seeing results you can feel and see.

You’ll spend 30–45 minutes with our team reviewing your medical history, current routine, and lifestyle. We examine your skin under bright, cross-polarized light (and, when helpful, digital imaging) to gauge sun damage, hydration, pore size, and sensitivity. From there we map out a step-by-step home regimen and, if needed, suggest in-office treatments—everything is fully personalized, never “one size fits all.”
Consultations cover the full spectrum—from acne, rosacea, and melasma to fine lines, texture, and post-procedure maintenance. Because Dr. Ayeni’s clinic offers medical-grade topicals plus services like HydraFacial, peels, and laser resurfacing, we can combine products and procedures for issues that over-the-counter skin-care alone can’t fix.
No. You’ll leave with a written plan outlining recommended cleansers, actives (e.g., vitamin C, retinol, pigment correctors), and SPF, plus any suggested in-office upgrades. You’re free to purchase whenever you’re ready—or bring the plan home and compare with what you already use. Our goal is guidance, not pressure.
Many patients notice smoother texture and better glow in 2–4 weeks; pigment and wrinkle improvements typically take 8–12 weeks of consistent use. We encourage a check-in every three months (virtual or in-clinic) to track progress and fine-tune your regimen as skin adapts or seasons change.
Because it’s an elective, cosmetic service, OHIP doesn’t cover the visit or any products. Aurora Plastic Surgery charges a modest consultation fee that’s credited toward any same-day product purchase or future skin treatment, and flexible payment options are available.
